How It Works

Access your i-wireless Mobile Hotspot using the data allowance included in your monthly cell phone rate plan or by adding more data with a Mobile Web Pack.

Using Your Monthly Date Allowance

To activate the Mobile Hotspot feature on your Android smartphone:

Add the Mobile Hotspot service to your cell phone account from your handset.

Turn Mobile Hotspot ON or Off on your Android smartphone* by going to MENU>SETTINGS>WIRELESS & NETWORKS>PORTABLE HOTSPOT>PORTABLE WIFI HOTSPOT

*i-wireless Mobile HotSpot is available on the following devices:

Optimus
Replenish
Milano

(Mobile HotSpot is not available on the HTC Hero or the Sanyo Zio)

Using Mobile Web Packs

Mobile Web Packs give you the flexibility to supplement the data allowance included with your monthly rate plan to support more data intensive activities such as watching YouTube videos or streaming music on Pandora or Spotify.
